IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO FIRST READ ALL THREE STEPS AND FOLLOW THEM VERY CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU BEGIN THE UPDATE.
CHECK YOUR VERSION ON THE DEVICE SETTINGS TAB AND COMPARE IT WITH THIS VERSION v1.1 ONLY UPDATE IF THIS VERSION IS NEWER.
Step 1
Ensure that there is a good WiFi connection and power supply to the device. Failure can cause the device to become unusable.
There are two parts to the software update, one is the software for the main hub (called the "Firmware") and the other is the software for the Wifi remote displayed on your phone (called the "SPIFFS").
Click the buttons below to download the software that you wish to update, it will automatically go into your "downloads" folder:
Step 2
NOTE you must be on the same Wifi network as your device for this step. So if you are using your device in standalone mode you will first need to connect to it's hotspot.
IMPORTANT when you start the update make sure that you select the CORRECT software to update, e.g. click on "Firmware and select "SPIFFS" for the Wifi remote:
Once selected open your downloads folder and drag the "filesystem.bin" or the "spiffs.bin" file to the drop zone on the page. If you are using a phone for the update tap the downloads area and enter "firmware.bin" or "spiffs.bin" in the search field.
Wait for the update to complete and you see the update Success icon (if, after 5 mins it hasnt worked then restart the system and try again):
NOTE if you have changed the name of your device in setting then the button WILL NOT WORK. Instead type "yourdevicename.local/update" into your web browser.
Step 3
Once you have completed your update wait for it to automatically restart and then reconnect to it.
Also if you have updated the Wifi remote you will need to go through the setup of your system including Wifi settings and timers as ALL OF THIS DATA IS ERASED BY THE UPDATE.
